Guide for Battalion Maneuver

96th Pennsylvania Infantry drilling in Arlington, Virginia 1862

So you want to become an officer someday and think you know the Manual of Arms, School of the Soldier, and School of the Company down pat.   Take a crack at learning what it takes to form companies into a line of battle and maneuver divisions both on and off the field.  Just remember that officers are not just pretty faces and wear fancy uniforms.  It takes a lot to move an army!

The guides below are based on Civil War manuals but are presented to help USV members improve their impressions and standardize how they coordinate maneuvers at reenactments.
